Introducing Space and Time’s Genesis Validator Rewards Program

Supporting a heavily-staked, robust, decentralized validator network from day one.

As Space and Time (SXT Chain) has achieved public mainnet launch, we're excited to announce the Genesis Validator Rewards Program, designed to support a heavily staked, robust, decentralized validator network from day one.

Purpose of the Program

  • Support a robust, well-distributed validator network from launch.
  • Encourage sustained validator participation during the protocol’s formative period.
  • Align early contributors with the long-term decentralization goals of the network.

How It Works

  1. Stake and Secure the Network Early: Participants must stake SXT within the first 14 days of the public mainnet launch. The staking contract resides on Ethereum mainnet at 0x93d176dd54FF38b08f33b4Fc62573ec80F1da185 while the staking dashboard resides at staking.spaceandtime.io.
  2. Maintain Stake: Your stake must remain active for 9 months. If you unstake in whole or in part before the 9-month window has completed, you will not be eligible for this program’s incentives. You will still receive the standard validator staking rewards (estimated 8% annualized), but not the adjusted program rate.
  3. Claim via Smart Contract: At the end of the 9-month period, eligible participants will be able to connect to a smart contract to verify their staking history and claim the protocol-adjusted output. Eligibility is verified using Proof of SQL, Space and Time’s onchain query technology for reading historical Ethereum state.

Incentive Parameters

  • The Genesis Validator Incentive Program is capped at 150,000,000 SXT, representing 3% of the total token supply. Once 150M SXT are staked into the program, no additional participants will be accepted—even if within the 14-day window.
  • For participants who meet all program conditions, the protocol will automatically apply a retroactive adjustment to their staking output, increasing rewards from the standard rate (~8% annualized) to an effective rate of up to ~30% annualized (estimated ~22% over the 9-month program duration). Up to 33,000,000 SXT may be distributed as enhanced rewards, with all calculations and disbursements executed onchain.

Important Details

  • Self-Custodied and Fully Onchain: All conditions and rewards are enforced automatically by smart contracts. The program leverages Space and Time’s native zero-knowledge onchain SQL query technology (Proof of SQL) for the rewards contract to look up your stake and magnitude to trustlessly, permissionlessly allow you to claim your enhanced rewards in a decentralized way.
  • Performance-based: Validators must meet minimum technical performance requirements, including reliable uptime (no more than 12 hours of downtime per month), consistent participation in consensus, and adherence to protocol specifications. Failure to meet these requirements may disqualify participants from receiving enhanced rewards, even if the staking duration condition is satisfied. All eligibility is verified onchain.
  • Protocol-Governed: The Space and Time Foundation does not issue or distribute rewards. The program is fully protocol-governed and enforced by smart contracts.

This is not a bonus, yield program, or financial product. It is a time-bound, protocol-enforced mechanism designed to incentivize early validator participation in line with decentralization and security goals. Participation is voluntary and subject to smart contract logic and network conditions. Outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary based on validator performance and total eligible stake.

We’re looking forward to further securing the network with a diverse and mission-aligned validator community.
